I went to conferences Wednesday Night. The teacher said a couple things that actually blew me away. Dakota wants to really learn to read and write. He has been trying really hard. He will try to sound out words as he spells them. He may not spell them right but he sure tries hard. Another thing she said was he always wants to get his math done. If he doesn’t know an how to do it and can’t get the teacher to help because she is busy he asks a friend for help. They don’t give each other answers they really try to help each other. I was blown away! I thought that was fantastic on Dakota’s part. He can make a few connections in the classroom when he needs too! I really got a great report about Dakota. The picture I am about to show you is something that came home from conferences. I am really not to sure what it is about. But I love the drawing and coloring. I can’t really read his story but he gave it a good try.

Brittany and I have been working on an eye unit. We have been reading books to our theme and today we will color a rabbit. Later she will have to put the cotton tail on the rabbit. That will be interesting. LOL I will share her colored picture later on. I will also share the stuff we have done in the eye unit. Just in case someone else wants to do it with their own kids.
