I thought I would share a picture of Dakota opening presents at my parents. Brittany is standing right behind him looking all curious. It’s one of the better pictures in the bunch as Dakota had his hopes up for a camcorder. I didn’t think he would really want it and told my Dad what else to get him. I made a mistake this year. I felt bad for my Dad as Dakota was disappointed and Dakota really doesn’t under stand emotion or emotion of others. So next year we will make sure to ask and re ask Dakota what he wants for Christmas. He changes his mind a lot so that makes things very difficult and since we are really cracking down on exactly what games he plays that makes things harder.
Sometime today we are going to make his slime that he got for Christmas. That is going to be lots of fun. So I will take pictures and share them next week.

The next day he was a little more at peace if that makes sense. He did end up getting a camcorder from Santa. So his Christmas was complete.
He’ll surely forget about it as soon as he gets into the other presents.Brittany looks so cute standing behind him.

He did end up forgetting and he has been playing with everything. Except we still have to play Mario yet.
It’s hard to pick the right present and children can sometimes be fickle minded. I’m glad he got it anyway.

Kids are so funny. I am glad he ended up getting it, though I am sure momma was more hurt than he was
. I know that guilty/sad feeling. I almost felt like we had our little guy “trained” on saying he wanted a “train and train track and camera”. But we just kept asking and asking. Then it almost became rehearsed.

I really did feel bad for my Dad. He really does try to make them happy at Christmas. So really I feel like the disappointmet was my fault. However, as we speak he is playing his new Mario game.
