About Me

Welcome to Super Mommy To The Rescue!

I am Stacie a SAHM of three. I started blogging in May 2009. When I first started blogging I wanted to spread the news about autism awareness. I wanted a place where others could see inside my world and know what I go through on a day to day basis. Just giving a glimpse of understanding. I also wanted others who also had kids on the spectrum to not feel alone. Since then my blog has changed and I also started blogging out our adventures in homeschooling.

My son Dakota is 13 and has High Functioning Autism. My daughter Brittany is 6 and was diagnosed with Aspergers.

I homeschool my younger two children. We use a wide variety of curriculum. The kids both are very visual and love hands on activities. You will find different homeschool reviews on my blog about different products we have used. I also try to share a glimpse into the things we are doing as well as the field trips we have been on.

Both of the kids love the tablets. The kids share a android tablet and a ipad. They discovering new games to play. We also use apps that we incorporate into our homeschool day. It spruces things up and encourages learning for them.

One of the things I like to do is bake and cook. I love stumbling upon new recipes to try as well as sharing them.

My kids both love art and music. The kids are learning how to play the piano. My son does want to learn to play guitar one day. Both my kids are really into art. I think lately my daughter has been into canvas painting with me. We find lessons on youtube and we try them. It has been fun painting with my daughter. My son has a more abstract style. You will see a lot of lines and matching colors in his work. Both of them amaze me with their love of art. My daughter could spend hours just drawing pictures.

In my spare time I like to paint with acrylic paints. I am also exploring mixed media, water color paints, and what ever else I find an interest in. I also like to scrapbook, stamp, and make cards when I find the time.

You can find me on Facebook, Twitter, Google +, and Pinterest.

I hope you enjoy the mixed bag of this blog.

Okay, I’ve been to your blog how many times and have never read your profile. WHY??? I haven’t a clue, usually that’s one of the first places I go. Oh well, I finally did and you just gave me even more reason to watch, read and learn from you. I finally found the “follow” button so am now following you.
Working with kids is what I do and I have had my share of the ADHD, ADD, Bi-polar, Autistic and occasional handful child. I wouldn’t trade them for anything. Sometimes it’s the parent with these problems too and just need help raising a child. It works for both of us and I love my job.
Thanks for taking the time to shop by and share some love. I so think comments make the world go around.
Take care and have a blessed day!

    Stacie,
I have a 13 yr old with Epilepsy and the school wanted to teach him the PECS program but now I am homeschooling him and I don’t know how to use the PECS program and was hoping you could point me in the right direction. We would be at the beginners level.
    Thank You
