A Frog Thing by Eric Drachman is a very cute storybook app. Before I get into my thoughts I would to give you a glimpse at what the story is about.
Frank wasn’t satisfied doing ordinary frog things. Frank wanted to fly and he was determined to find a way. While the other frogs laughed at his unsuccessful attempts, Frank kept on flapping. He jumped and ran and leapt and dove. . . right into a friendly mother bird and her baby. Can the bird family help Frank accomplish his dreams?
We absolutely loved this story. When it was done my daughter said “One more time.” The little frog in the story is what makes it special as he determined to find a way to fly. The moral of the story is to never stop reaching for your dreams as they do happen. I don’t want to tell you how he accomplishes it or it will ruin the story. The little frogs parents told him that he can do anything he sets his mind to, frog things that is. The artwork in the story is fantastic. I love the narration in the story. Again my favorite was the words being highlighted as they were being read. It’s a great learning tool for beginning readers. I really like how my daughter could find hidden sounds in the pictures. You have three options to read the story, read to me, read alone, or auto play. We chose the read to me.
This is definitely worth adding to your book collection.
